DrupalCamp NJ

The Drupal Camp NJ 2023 took place in March with informative sessions and innovative activities. Though the event had a slightly smaller attendance than previous episodes, the sessions remained informative and engaging, offering valuable insights into the Drupal platform and its prospects. Inforest has published a blog post about informative sessions from the camp. The blog post also shares presentation slides and videos from the sessions for further reference.

One session, 'Meet Drupal 10,' focused on installing and configuring Drupal. While it provided an excellent introduction to the platform, attendees wanted more in-depth coverage of upcoming features, modules, and changes in Drupal 10.

The 'Create A Scalable Multisite Platform Roadmap' session explored the creation of a scalable multisite platform, which is beneficial for organizations with multiple departments that require individualized branding while maintaining overall consistency. This presentation encouraged attendees to think bigger and guided scaling projects effectively.

In the session on 'Using Google Data Studio (now Looker Studio) for dashboard analytics reporting,' attendees learned how to leverage this tool to extract data from Google Analytics and present it in a user-friendly format, gaining valuable insights into real-world use cases.

The session, 'Creating a Culture of Documentation,' resonated strongly with attendees. Emphasizing the importance of comprehensive documentation, the speakers provided practical ideas such as requiring documentation before code merging, utilizing development editor tools, and making documentation accessible through Git. This session served as a reminder of the critical role proper documentation plays in development and user experience.

Overall, Drupal Camp NJ 2023 offered valuable sessions covering topics such as Drupal 10, scalable multisite platforms, data analytics reporting, and the significance of documentation in fostering a thriving development culture.
