Drupal EoL Podcast Hosts Matt Glaman

The latest episode of Drupal 7 End of Life podcast hosts Matt Glaman. The present episode is the 8^th in the series. The podcast series from Chromatic addresses issues and challenges associated with upgrading from Drupal 7 to the modern Drupal version, Drupal 10.

Mark Dorison and Dave Look, CTO & CEO of Chromatic, respectively, host the show. The podcast begins by discussing custom code components, which run on Drupal 7 and not on Drupal 8, 9, and 10. As the talk goes forward, Matt emphasizes the importance of developing tools to help migrate Drupal code from Drupal 7.

He also touches upon Acquia’s Migrate Accelerate program’s activities and work. The speakers examine how Drupal 7’s end-of-life challenges are symptomatic of a widespread approach to development. Matt also dives deep into the drawbacks behind software maintenance and unveils his plans to release Drupal Bridge by DrupalCon 2023.
