First Drupal 10 Global Porting Day to be Held in July
The first Drupal 10 Global Porting Day, a 30 hour global event focused on porting Drupal 9 projects so that they are compatible with Drupal 10 will be held on 28th July 2022. Kristen Pol and Surabhi Gokte are the organizers for the event and Gábor Hojtsy is a volunteer.
They are looking for Organizers, Mentors, Promoters and Participants (maintainers, programmers, testers, project managers). You don't need experience porting projects in order to contribute at this event. If you have any experience with creating modules or themes, then you can be a part of the event.
Drupal Contributions Open Social platform will be used during this event. If you do not already have an account, you can make one ahead of time. You should also join the Drupal 10 Contribution group and #d10readiness and #contribution-events slack channels. The #d10readiness channel will be used when working on specific projects (modules/themes) if you are stuck or need help with porting. The #contribution-events channel will be used for general questions about contribution.
