JOB DESCRIPTION

HUIT is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to join our experienced central web services team that provides web platform offerings and services at scale to the Harvard community. The candidate will be the technical lead from Harvard on the project, working with third-party implementation partners and is expected to have both a deep understanding of the product vision as well as the technical underpinnings of all facets of the platform. The role requires exceptional programming skills, experience with cloud hosting providers (Acquia, Pantheon) that specialize in Drupal and Wordpress, platform development and migrations, and integrating technologies via APIs and web services. The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for partnering with the vendor to define and manage technical aspects of the platform build and ongoing development, including planning, requirements gathering, and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. The Senior Technical Lead will also be responsible for growing Harvard's internal technical capacity to operate and maintain the platform.
