GeekHive is hiring a Drupal Developer to join their development department. This position will report to the Solutions Architecture Manager and will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of Drupal websites, as well as ensuring that the solutions delivered to meet the high quality clients have grown to expect.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with the development, design, and project management teams to build client sites and applications in service of a great end product.
• Build, test, and deploy features for new and existing Drupal sites by focusing on the details, testing performance, and ensuring quality.
• Clearly communicate technical challenges to development team members and those with less technical knowledge.
• Document requirements and project notes as necessary.
• Support fellow team members as needed.
• Adhere to Drupal coding standards, conventions, and best practices.
• Participate in project stand ups and internal meetings.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Drupal backend developer
• Strong knowledge of Drupal 8/9 and fluency in PHP with a solid object oriented programming background
• Experience with command line tools and applications
• Proficient with Git source control procedures in a team environment
• Comfortable setting up and troubleshooting local AMP environments
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology and its benefits

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Acquia, Pantheon or Platform.sh platforms
• Experience with custom Drupal module development, Google Analytics, technical writing, and/or technical architecture
• Experience with headless/decoupled implementations
• Acquia Certified Developer, or higher
• Participation within the Drupal community

This is a contract position. You will be required to provide a W9 and provide your own equipment. You will be working on projects for clients and prior to your start date, you will need to execute a contract agreement (individual or entity) and/or an NDA.
