How Four Kitchens Used Emulsify to Develop YaleSites

A blog post published by Four Kitchens discusses how Yale University tackled the challenges of managing many websites and outdated Drupal 7 by implementing a new digital platform called YaleSites.

With hundreds of websites using different modules and custom code, the IT department at Yale realized that a lift-and-shift approach was not feasible. They needed a fresh start to reset their architecture and processes.

In the blog post, author Jim Vomero explains how the University turned the big project around.

YaleSites offers a unified brand identity and design system, allowing departments to create unique digital experiences aligned with the institution's overall design. It utilizes a customized drag-and-drop page builder powered by Emulsify, providing a flexible and scalable platform.

Emulsify is an open-source toolset developed by Four Kitchens that help designers and developers create design systems for your Drupal website. It helps in creating design systems with reusable components. According to Four Kitchens,

a component-based product experience allows for greater efficiency and improved quality in the design and development process. With it, you can create a fully customized Drupal theme from scratch, tailoring your design system to your specific needs. This is useful when you have strict branding guidelines or must create a unique user experience.
