De-jargoning Drupal initiative within the Drupal community seeks to simplify the platform's specialized language, commonly known as "Drupalisms," to make the content management system more accessible to newcomers. Originating from user research that identified barriers to understanding Drupal's unique terminology, the project focuses on clarifying complex terms such as 'Node', 'Blocks', and 'Entity.' Regular community meetings and collaborative sessions, including efforts at DrupalCon Lille, have advanced the initiative, emphasizing the importance of clear and inclusive language. The project also involves developing a controlled vocabulary and engaging with other open-source CMS communities to standardize terminology across platforms, enhancing usability and inclusivity for all users.
