Having witnessed Drupal's growth over the years, Brad fondly remembers the days when fieldable entities didn't exist in Drupal's core. Now, fields play a pivotal role in site building, but as Drupal 10 approaches, the Field API is showing its age and limitations.

With a vision to enhance the field API and embrace the power of JSON data types supported by major database engines, Brad proposes an integration that unlocks the potential for flexible and performant data management in Drupal 10. This integration would extend the entity system to provide standards-compliant JSON schemas out of the box.

Brad seeks support of around twenty thousand dollars to collaborate with other qualified developers and bring this transformative project to fruition. His passion and expertise are poised to take Drupal's data management capabilities to new heights, making it one of the most adaptable and efficient systems available.
