Responsibilities
 

• Update, maintain, and operate the client website ensuring that content is relevant, timely and readily accessible.
• Work with the client’s website host (Office of Communications staff) and to follow client’s website and style guidelines.
• Use the appropriate Drupal platform for the website ensuring adherence to plain language and the client’s style guidelines.
• Submit materials for distribution that meet compliance standards to be accessible to all and comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Revise, maintain, and expand the site’s presence, and work with the Office of Communications to develop a search engine optimization strategy.
• Review webpages not less than once per month to check for broken links, outdated information, and general quality assurance, and to refresh pages’ “Current as of” dates.
• Electronically maintain the client’s Resource Library - which includes historical documents, such as publications, Reports to Congress, initiatives, project final deliverables, speeches and talking points and make them available to client staff, upon request.
• Track web metrics using Google analytics or another cost-effective platform and provide analysis using the data.
• Report on the traffic to the website, number of hits, content/documents viewed and other relevant data on the visitors to the website.
• Provide recommendations on how to increase and improve traffic to the website based on this analysis by electronically submitting quarterly reports.
• Attend client meetings and respond to data calls in a timely manner.
• Create original content for the website that is relevant to the client program’s priorities to include, but not be limited to, carousel slides, funding allocation tables, new award announcements, notifications of funding opportunity, news stories, grantee success stories, program fact sheets, links to new resources, updates to the individual program pages and other content as directed by client.
   

Required
 

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience programming in Drupal
• United States Citizenship or United States Permanent Residence (Greencard)
   

Desired:
 

• Experience developing, maintaining and administering Federal government websites running on Drupal.
