Risks: How much is too much?

Risk

Almost everyone, including people in business and professionals seeking growth, is often advised to take risks. There comes no reward without risk, it is said. Taking risks is necessary to live an extraordinary life. But the sad truth is that there is no universal definition for it.

Though taking risks has the potential to shoot us to success, fame, or invaluable experiences, it always comes with a downside. A chance of error or mistake hangs over the risks like Damocles' sword. Unless we have the ability and sense to plan a calculated risk, the possibility of error weighs in.

It is fitting that sense must precede the risk, not arrogance. And the reason or purpose must be founded on knowledge and wisdom. Nobody can prescribe the amount of risk that is fit for you. It is for you to decide from the lessons and mistakes of the past. The more you learn, the more you know, and the more open-minded you are, the more the chance of the risk to bring you a fortune.

Luck is something we design for ourselves. We wish our readers a lucky week ahead.
