Front End Drupal Developer

Remote

Holders and s per government contract 

We are seeking a Drupal Developer for a cross-functional web development team responsible for building enterprise level web applications in a growing Drupal team, and to work part-time for a Health and Human Services project located in Rockville, MD. This Developer is a strong communicator who excels at collaborating with team members and conveying technical concepts to other developers, managers, and clients. This developer has strong technical skills utilizing clean and solid programming techniques, web security practices, and design patterns. This role requires a deep understanding of Drupal, front-end technologies, and best practices for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure web solutions.

Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience developing websites using Drupal CMS, Drupal 9/10 experience preferred.

Experience developing and deploying dynamic and responsive user interfaces compatible with multiple browsers using Bootstrap, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.

Familiarity with the command line - ability to perform tasks (git, drush, etc) without the aid of a GUI.

Strong front end development skills, including the use of CSS preprocessors (sass preferred).

Experience developing to 508 compliance standards.

Experience using JIRA Service Desk ticketing system.

Experience with Agile Development.

Position is 100% remote with preference to location in the DMV area and ability to attend meeting in person in this area

Potential candidates must have the ability to demonstrate their knowledge and skills hands on during the interview process on their own development environment

Candidates must have the ability to work in the US, no visa sponsorship available

Experience with federal projects is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand requirements, communicate designs, and implement specifications.

Customize or extend responsive, standards-compliant themes for Drupal.

Build content driven enterprise level and public facing web applications, implementing user interfaces.

Develop, test, document and maintain cutting edge Drupal based web solutions for our clients.

Install, test and debug Drupal modules, and create custom modules as needed.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Evaluate designs, wireframes, and other deliverables for development feasibility, and collaborate with designers as needed.

Contribute to cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent display in major supported browsers on Mac, PC, iOS and Android.

Prototype functionality for internal and client review

Create documentation around processes including deployments, solution audits, data and content migrations, and systems integrations.

Work in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, meeting delivery milestones and quality expectations.

Consistently stay abreast of the leading trends in the industry and integrate the best techniques, tools, and practices into the development process.

Create and maintain standards, practices, and supporting tools to ensure teams provide a consistent level of service.

Manage Drupal content, taxonomy, and templates.

Manage site compliance including 508 and WCAG standards.
