JOB DESCRIPTION

The goal of this Temporary Full-Time Contract Position is to Project Manage every technical and PM detail of a currently existing Drupal 9 Website project by providing daily governance and guidance to the Global Marcomm Team and external vendors (Dev, Hosting & some SaaS). [There is the possibility of this position becoming Permanent].

This role will be responsible for maintaining the scope, budget and timeline of this project and will be asked to help make decisions with long-term operational and budgetary implications. This may include partnering with the internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on future feature development and helping set priorities.

This project consists of reverse engineering an existing site with the same look & feel, but with better code, better documentation, better backend UX for content editors, and a more simplified architecture; moving from a multi-site to a single-site structure.

Additional challenges include small teams both internally (Global Marcomm) and externally (Dev vendor).
This role may be “Work-From-Home” and will report directly to the Global Marketing Communications Manager (located in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA), which then reports directly to the Global Marketing Communications General Manager at PTC HQ in Tokyo, Japan.

Tactical:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of all Website activities; including new development, repairs, team correspondence, team guidance, team training and vendor management & relations.
  • Coordinate with vendors who support development and infrastructure of the global website development and hosting.
  • Perform frequent reviews and reports on Drupal Back-End and Regional websites.
  • Create and present (online & in-person) PPT presentations with updates on the project.
  • Any other essential functions or duties assigned by the Global Marcomm Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development or similar field.
  • Minimum of five (10) years of experience in Project Management for Drupal Website Development – PMP preferred.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Drupal (9) based website platform & Agile dev processes.
  • Able to develop and implement workflow process for a matrix organization with multiple global partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with vendors who provide development or SaaS platforms & functions.
  • Good analytical, project management and decision making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written, oral and power point presentations) to colleagues outside of the US who have limited English written/speaking fluency skills.
  • Culturally sensitive, creative, positive attitude, teamwork and strong attention to detail required.
  • Proficient in Drupal (9), PMP principles, Atlassian Tools (JIRA & Confluence), Google Tools and MS Office suite, including SharePoint.
  • Understanding of other global search engines (Yahoo!, Baidu, Naver) a plus.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, multilingual skills are preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule with ‘remote / work-from-home’ option.
