Renaud Joubert

I'm a senior Drupal developer, mostly back-end stuff, although I also do front-end work. I like to get things done with existing modules and libraries because of the security watch and support that is bundled with contrib components. That said and depending on the deployment workflow, a simple custom module can sometimes be more appropriate.

I like to work in small to medium size agile teams where peer interaction is rich. I'm able to provide professional services in English and French.

RECENT WORK:

- MLL (Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, Winnipeg, MB; January 2023 to March 2024) MLL is the Manitoba Crown corporation responsible for selling liquor, lotteries and non-medical cannabis. As part of a small team, my job was to ensure the migration of six Drupal 7 websites to Drupal 9, this included data migration as well as the replication of custom functionalities and themes. I also worked on various details relating to 'accessibility' i.e. ensure the websites are WCAG 2.2 compliant.

- Resulta (Halifax, NS; March 2021 to September 2022): Joined an one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime team of Drupal expert developers (15+) from all across Canada to migrate oddsshark.com from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9. Odds Shark is a one-stop shop / aggregator for picks, odds, betting news and trends from the NFL, NCAA football and basketball, MLB, NBA, NHL and the UFC, to name a few. For the most part, I was hired to solve the migration of 10 years of data. Towards the end of my mandate, I also worked on the implementation of the new theme (visual appearance).

- CSF (Montreal, QC; April to August 2020 ): Migrate content from Google Sheets to a new Drupal 8 multilingual website.

- Evolving Web (Montreal, QC; Sep 2019 to March 2020): Participate in the creation of 80+ content/paragraph types and their respective twigs templates for a soon to be launched governmental website related to tourism.
